Whats I"m Up To

9.24.2002

Well let me try this post again since I wrote it before and didn't finish or save it, sooo in other words a slightly ticked off Yanni. But what else is knew, on to sillier and happier things, as I try to remember what I wrote.

Well normally I'd be updating from the computer lab between classes, but even productivity in that environment has ceased, the reason you ask Quake 3 Arena, Shawn Coblish and I found it while looking through random computers on the HVCC network. Despite the fact that I'm not good at it, I can't goto the lab w/o playing it. I started a game just to practice a bit, and like 7 other people ended up joining, it was pretty fun. After a while I got a little tired of getting killed so I was just spectating thr game, and then I decided to add some bots :-). I amped them up to the hardest level, and set them loose on everybody. It was amazing one of the bots racked up 10 kills in the first minute! But I had to leave for class so I quit the game saying "shit happens" knowng full well since i started the game, as soon as i quit everyone got kicked off. Heh, the game makes you want to be a bastard. I know its wrong but I can't help myself.

As if there wasn't enough distractions in my life I bought a new game last Tuesday which has kept me too busy playing, to write about it. The game is Animal Crossing, a little GameCube game. Its very similar to the Sims except you directly control your person directly. You go hunting, fishing, catching bugs, doing little errand, interacting with the animal residents of the town that you name, paying the loan on your house, buying furniture, and tricking out your house will cool stuff. The game even follows real time, because of the internal clock in the Gamecube, if I want to play at night I have to play at night, morning play in the morning. The consequenses are that certain things happen in town at different parts of the day, if you don't play at certain times you miss things, there are even Holidays. When its Christmas, you get presents, etc. You start the game by naming your character, and your Town. The town is randomly generated, and has fairly unique inhabitants. Well thats enough about that needless to say there's a lot to do, and I can't stop playing. I mean what if I don't play and Nook Store gets that new couch I want. On Sunday it was really creepy it was raining in the morning, then i turned on the game...and it was raining there to, i had to walk away form the controler after that, too wierd!

Oh yeah I'm sort of working at Price Choper now, I'm a clerk in General Merchandise in other words I stock shelves, change price tags, I do all that and come out smelling like womanly shampoo (the isle in my department I've spent the most time in.) It not bad at all, the people I'm working with are really nice. Hopefully there will be nice people working at the new store which isn't finished yet, I'm just training at the current store I'm in. Its very similart to my TrueValue job only its not a pound me in the ass job, and come home ready to shoot myself. Its the part of my TrueValue job that wasn't that bad, only I do it all day! Get this.....the pay is better to

Well I think thats all for now, its taken way too long to write this, damn Animal Crossing. :-P
