Whats I"m Up To

I win, I win, I don't lose, I win

It seems the war over me getting Hot Chocolate easily has been won...by me or just is in a stalemate. Two days in a row the Hot Chocolate machine that gave me trouble a while ago has worked properly. Its curious, makes me think its planning something, or maybe poison! But I digress.

I was looking around at some AnimeInfo sites, and my favorite composer has been doing some more recent stuff, shows I could have seen but just never decided to watch but now that I know Yoko Kanno has been doing the music for Wolf's Rain and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, I'll have to give them more serious watches. I mean she wouldn't do music for a bad anime...I don't believe it! Or if the shows are ass I'll prolly just download the music, cause well her music is the awesome.

Oh yeah I finished reading Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and that was thumping good read. I can't wait to see the movie version the cast looks awesome, if they can keep the same people playing the same roles for all the movies...well that'll be awesome. Thats all for me i'm off.

12.07.2004

I know I've said it before

I've prolly said stuff like this thousands of times on here, but mad I'm so bad about updating. Plenty of stuff I wanna say, no time to say it, plus I swear whenever I do start a post, I end up clicking on a website to confirm some information and then bam it loads in the same window I was typing in and then everything I wrote is gone...you don't even know how much that has happened lately....really makes me mad.

Lately I've just been thinking I gotta make a new website, I need a new project really bad. To get me motavated about something again get the old designing juices flowing. Try out some new stuff, and put the old to the test. Please drop a comment if you have an idea for me just can't think of anything that I think would be a good idea. Maybe even some kind of group site, something I could make and bunch of us contribute to. Just something new and fun.I feel so worn out and dried up for ideas lately. Need something where people say "Hey mike is that done yet I can't wait till thats done". Cause I remember when the idea came to me for this design I had it ready to go in like 2 days total. Obviously I tweaked it from there. But still the site worked and i had it all done fast cause I was so primed about it.

Plans have started to form for a New Years Party at Matt's house. Catherine, Matt, and myself had a fun discussion about stuff to do, food we could make or get.

I've been redo-ing my room a bit thowing a lot of stuff out, retiring lots of figures, thining them out, keeping the new ones or just the extra nifty ones. Next step I might take down some posters, change up the rotation perhaps.

Lets see, I know I'm like the only who cares but they Dadedevil: Director's Cut finally came out after all these years. And it was good. I liked the original but felt it was missing something, this movie has what was missing, the drama, inparticular the dramatic pauses, and some actual lawyering going on that was ok, kinda funny in some parts. You see where it diverges from the theatrical release, and totally changes the story. This was going to be the original cut, but they thought it was too long or whatever. More DD, more Kingpin, and even a few cuss words. If this movie was released it would have done so much better, and rated R.

Work hasn't been that bad lately been jokin around with the guys more, work is actually tolerable at the moment. And we're so close to having the dipshit fired after all his screw-ups. Plus after a while of trying I finally got my co-worker Hino's website to work. He runs a nifty as heck anime site, where you can download episodes, and they come down pretty fast. I've started watchin this show called Samurai Shamploo from him, has the same kind of feel as Cowboy Bebop, same designers, director, and animation studio. But its set in feudal japan, and like Cowboy Bebop had a country/folk music that set the tone for the series, this has a more Hip-Hop/Techno style to its music which amazingly has fit well with the show. Also bought this Japanese movie "Zatoichi: The Blind Swordsman" whoich was also set in feudal Japan, was pretty bad ass.

So yeah um in recap I need to post more, I'm messin with my room, check out http://www.katn-anime.com for some cool anime, and samurai are cool.

Back up to full power!

Thats right my webcam is back up and running. I decided to make it black and white, it gives me more indy street cred. Actually it was kinda to keep with the color scheme I adhere to like it was my god which is red, white, and black. I might change it back to color, we'll see what anyone has to say about it.

Speaking of my color scheme goddam Oceans's Twelve stole it the bastards. I'm also thinking of adding kind of a picture of the moment on the main page here. So get like a quick view of me here, and for like the stalkers out there can go to the actual webcam page and can reload and stare at me for hours on end :-P.

Edit: And so it was written and so it is done! Picture is one the side. Figure I'll change that picture every day. Where as the webcam pic is constantly updated all day and has the date time and one of my fun phrases :-P

Stuff and Junk

Yo peeps, the election is finally upon us, Thank god! I can't wait till its over so I don't have to hear about it anymore. Seriously its been practically nonstop since the Democrat Primaries started. We finally get to choose, Giant Douche or Terd Sandwich. Let the armchair poloticians shut up, see all the HATE signs be taken down. I can't deal with it anymore. If one more musician, actor, or member of the media tries to tell me how dumb I am for thinking the way I do, I'm gonna go balistic, at least this election will shut people up for a while no matter who wins. Oh well, go Bush!

Hey lets harken back to a week or so ago. I dropped my parents off at the train station early in the morning. Like 7 or somethin, but I decided to get a Hot Chocolate, at the Trainstation, which I believe was run by "The Coffee Shoppe" and not only did they have hot chocolate, but it might have been the best hot chocolate ever. They served it with some yummy foam, and here was the coup de gras, they dribble chocolate sauce over the foam. Oh man it was great, I wanna go back there...or find another place run by the same company.

In other hot chocolate news I had to get up early to work on a project with some people before our 8am class. I got up at 6 got ready, still very tired, I figured I'd stop at Duncan Doghnuts and get some Hot chocolate and some doughnuts....they told me that they ran out of Hot Chocolate, i said, "well then fuck it" and drove off. Honestly are they gonna run out of doughnuts? Is McDonalds gonna run out of French Fries? Its amazing how much material I get out of Hot Chocolate and how insane it to get a cup of it.

I hate Calculus

thats pretty much it I hate calculus.....especially calculus tests which i always fail.

Netscape, you are now my bitch

At long last my website works perfectly, on all browsers...that I know of. I've been fiddeling with my Style Sheets, seeing what might be the problem. Its funny cause in some of my own attributes, I honestly don't know exactly what they do, all I know is that they are there, and they work. I told the blogger sidebar to float to the right and aparently that works...I should probably look that up. But yeah that moved the sidebar where I wanted it, then i just tweaked it to make it look nice. Again its funny cause most of you use IE or something similar so you prolly won't notice the few pixels that were moved around. But I'm happy, its something that should have been done a long time ago.

Well....this was poorly planned....edited

Okay I'm sitting here in PHP like I always do and look at stuff online. I was peeking through Gamespot seeing what games will be comeing out soon.

Sweet Jesus!

In 4 weeks time 11 games are going to come out that virtually every gamer has been waiting for, or is considered to be a blockbuster game. Some more than others obviously. It just seems to me with the Holidays coming soon, they should be spacing this shit out. Let me show you, sorted by weeks. Starts with a bang and steadily just gets kinf of rediculus.

10/24
-Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

10/31
-Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal
-Lord of the Rings: The Third Age

11/07
-Halo 2
-Jak 3

11/14
-Everquest II
-GoldenEye: Rouge Agent
-Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
-Metroid Prime 2: Echos
-Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
-Viewtiful Joe 2

And the other thing is that I just named the really big games that are being released, literally at least 5 other good games come out each of those weeks, and countless other random games come out also. And the Week after all that, literally nothing comes out...like 3 games that no one really cares about. I mean #1 who wants to come out the same week as Halo 2. #2 In one week 3 games I'm dieing to play come out and I'm gonna have to choose. How insane is that? During the Summer when I had money, practically nothing came out. Now I'm in school, with less income because I'm working less hours. And NOW they release all the games I want to play. I mean why don't they release this stuff in the summer, when I actually have time to play it!
Not to mention I'm still in the middle of Sly 2, Katamari Damacy, and soon I'll be getting X-Men Legends, and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door(thanks Cat), just came out also. Just makes me mad cause some really good games are going to be lost in all this. People are gonna have to choose one of these, cause how often does anyone have $250 to spend on videogames in a short amount of time. Plus finding time to play all these games. Honestly, its just freakin ridiculus. For me personally...I can live without GTA right away, and I don't have an XBox so no Halo 2 for me....but I got Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, I'm a huge MGS person, so this will probably be my pic that week. Metroid Prime 2: Echos is the sequal to one of the best and most engrossing games I played last year. Prince of Persia: Warrior Within, the sequal to one of the most suprising and most fun games I've played. I mean Jebus why not throw in a new Zelda or Super Mario Game. So in 2 weeks the collective gaming population head's will explode. I plan on not leaving the house the day Halo comes out, and I'm bringing my girlfriend here also RPI will be a dangerous place.

Also the Nintendo DS comes out during this period also. Sweet Jesus. OK I'm out for now.

An Excuse ---Edit

Just so you know I originally had a nice long post last Thursday but it got lost in the browser, and then everytime I went to rewrite it I don't feel like it cause...I already wrote it, and it was kinda long.

oh and +1 capslock.

I just remembered I finally got my camera working...now I just need to find the cam software again and that'll be back in buisness.

and +1 Kapslock (in honor of MK: Deception)

Good Gravy...or Hot Chocolate..Whatever

Wow I never imagined getting a cup of Hot Chocolate could be so difficult. I just got out of my Calculus class, and went to the Student Center. I recalled the old Hot Chocolate machine they had, that made really good Hot Chocolate. But it was gone, in its place was some Starbucks-ish company's machine by the name of "Ratazza". I looked at the options on the machine, no Hot Chocolate. So I kept going to the actual "Ratazza" counter they have. On the menu it said Hot Chocolate, so I scrambled for my change to see if I had 2 singles...after a min I found I did. Then it came to deciphering their size policy of Tall, Grande, and Venti. My feelings on how stupid that is, are pretty much summed up here (Ha HA, that little squirrel slays me). And I get to the counter after dumb people in line couldn't figure out how to order and things broke. She tells me that she doesn't have it...despite it being on her menu..*sigh*, and informs me of the machine and that it had Hot Chocolate. So I befuddledly go back to the machine to see if I missed something. I didn't see anything under Hot Chocolate, but it had Cocoa, and I thought that might be it, I was willing to take a chance. I had no idea how much anything was it had no prices on it, so I fed my first dollar into it, all going well. I figured it had to be more than one dollar, so I tried to get the second dollar in, it wasn't happening. Some nice lady noticed and exchanged a much sturdier dollar to try in the machine, also didn't go in, this machine refused to accept a second dollar. So I just tried ordering on the machine, maybe all it needed was a dollar after all. But it kept denying me and spit out my other dollar. So then I went in to buffet area where they have some drinks...to which I found more "Ratazza" cups and coffee dispensers. **Shudder** But I finally found something, they had Nestle Hot Chocolate packets. Finally, so I dropped a packet into my "Ratazza" cup of the "tall" variety, then went to the "Ratazza" dispenser with hot water, which crapped out on me after like 3 seconds. I looked about and there was a coffee maker which no coffee in it, but it did have a hot water spout on it. So I had my hot chocolate and finally was satisfied...but to be honest the Hot Chocolate, I've had better. Wish they still had that old machine, it was the best!

Update: I had the link to the wrong Foamy Cartoon, fixed now. I forgot they had 2 about coffee houses.

Tales From the Game Journal -4

I just remembered...I'm a big X-Men fan, y'know what with having been reading the comics for like, well probably 10 years now. And I havn't owned a single good X-Men game....ever. Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge, was the worst and most impossible game ever. X-Men: Mutant Apocolypse, was...ok, but also was rediculusly hard...and I never really got to play the X-Men games for the Genesis. And aparently this new game X-Men Legends is a great game. So I think I have to buy X-Men Legends now....damn my logical mind.

LOL

Tales From the Game Journal -3

So Tuesday I picked up good old Donkey Konga cause I like music games and I like quirky Japanese games. I'm gettin the hang of it although when it gets fast sometimes I clap instead of hit the bongos, and hit the bongos when I should be clapping. Some of the songs are meh, but on the whole its a fun time, I hope other people get it also cause multiplayer bongos would be cool.

As far as Sly 2 goes havn't played it since Monday, but I plan to play a level or 2 later, I'm on episode 5 I think. When Bentley the turtle had to go it alone and try to free Sly and Murry from Prison it was so cute, poor little guy. Story has taken some interesting turns.

Uh I played the Myst 4 Demo a while ago just because I hadn't really tried anything on the comp since I got the new Video Card so I wanted to test it out. But it made me want to get back into the Myst verse since I remembered how much I love the story. It came out yesterday and I was gonna pick it up when I found out online...that its only released on DVD-Rom....and I don't have a DVD drive :-\. So I'm thinking about getting one, crikey....

Oh! I Found my Halo CD and installed it hoorah, I'll play through that game yet. And thanks to the new video card no slowdown and I can see reflections and shiney stuff.

int capslocks = 5;

Sorry folks crazy schedule, plus new videogames = not much time to write and complain online, just ask friends and family I had to do all my complaining to them.

Also note, I've been going to Gamespot quite a bit recently. They have a bunch of new Community options, you can keep track of games you have and comes up with stats for your game collection, like value, average rating of the game, favored system, etc. And others can view it I've even gotten little badges having to do with my collection. I got "good taste" and "old school" which I'm proud of. They even let you keep like a livejournal, with a pretty sophisticated friend listings, and of course comments. Also they let you have a list of games your looking forward to, and games your currently playing. I've even started keeping a little game journal of sorts. I might dual post there and here, still thinking about it.

And since its been a while I havn't worried about capslocks, but I just jumped back in. Capslocks = 5.

Tales From the Game Journal -2

Why do I feel guilty about liking the Pokemon games, the Game Boy RPGs that is, I could do without Snap, Channel, Stadium, Hey You Pikachu, etc. I always feel it hurts my gaming reputation if I'm in Gamestop chattin it up, and then say can I get Pokemon Leaf Green, which I did today. It's the same feeling I got when I was a Burger King today ordering a CROISSAN'WICH®, I hate saying that word it makes me feel like an ass. But yeah I liked the original Pokemon game, The other newest one is pretty nifty also. But goddamn there are too many Pokemon, I liked when I could actually name them all on site...now i have no clue half the time, since playing Ruby I don't even see too many of the original 150.

Sly 2:Band of theives is going well I'm on the third episode. There was no boss fight at the end of Episode 2, but they saved it for 3 since your robbing the same guy again. But still less than 20% done so I still got plenty left to do thankfully. Sadly Pikmin has taken a back seat since Sly 2 showed up.

I got 2 new stamps I guess they're called in my profile on Gamespot, not really sure how they get awarded, but I feel honored. I got the "Good Taste" and the "Old-School" Stamp/Award. Feels nice to have some validation. *beams*

Tales From the Game Journal -1

I bought Sly 2: Band of Thieves last night, because of dinner with the folks, and some girlfriend issues I didn't get to play last night. I had to get up at 7 this morning for my 8am Calculus class, then I had a nice 2 and a half hours to get into it. I was also dealing with a nice big headache, so Sly eased my pain a bit. Can I say how much I loved the first game (Sly Cooper and the Thievious Racoonus), so much fun but tragicly short...or maybe it was just so good I didn't want to stop playing. Such great platforming nirvana. A nice direct path, and if you get good you can just blast through it and look like an acrobat. I live for presision jumping in video games.

But back to Sly 2, I've gotten through the first heist so far and its fun times, and from that it seems like it will definetly be a longer game. And of course the GTA influence is even felt here, with the much more open environments than the first game, and more free form. The HUB areas are much bigger as i said but the main objective areas are a bit shorter, so far you spend more time getting to a level, than the level itself. I say that, but I still am having fun playing it its a good game.

Hmm I should probably stop typing this up and pay attention in my PHP class. More later folks.

Just for the record

If anyone of you uses a Netscape or Mozilla based browser, I appologize. The site doesn't work very well on them...yet. Its been like that since I added all the blogger stuff on the right side, for some reason it pushes everything down and adds a line down the middle of my posts.

Also I'm banditing caps-locks again. So keep track of the current count. Your keyboard could be next!

Dang

Bah I was gonna just spend some time at school, and chill at the comp lab cause for some reason its more relaxing than being at the comp at home. But then I remembered I have to wash my uniform...thats right. Walmart has a company that provides and cleans the uniforms, but they are dumb. Every week I should get 5 shirts and 5 pants, but that hasn't happened in a while. Instead this week I got 2 shirts and 4 pants. So I had to wash my own pants at least once and wash the shirt 3 times. Cause I'd just wear then over again but damn...they get disgusting. But today is the last day of work this week, thank jesus. My schedule doesn't quite seem feasable anymore. Mon - Wed, up at 7 for class at 8, then when school is over I goto work till 9. Then on Thurs I don't have work till 9, but I have a class from 6 - 9:20. And then Friday I only have 1 class and no work, which I usually spend relaxing with Catherine. But then its like...when the hell do I do work?? I have the 2 hours between classes. But that has to spent a bit washing my damn uniform. Crikey....

Also, I felt my Calc teacher shared some overly personal information today, which could inspire, a new Sticks Strip. We shall see.

And did I mention I can't stop listening to MC Chris?

9.03.2004

So Frusterated

I can't deal with these people anymore, I decided to read this thread on the Bendis Board, its Bush/Kerry Election thread which i normally avoid, just because they usually get me so angry. But this one especially, because people are justr saying things that arn't true and already making excuses for why Kerry will lose. Not to mention I just can't take John Kerry talking about Vietnam anymore, everytime me mentions is in anyway, or his purple hearts someone should hit him in the back of the head, because thats all he has. Got people Saying that 90% of the country is mindless sheep, people thing their so elitist, that their ideas are just so much better than anyone elses. They like to think that "We're gonna lose because people are dumb" and not "We're gonna lose because people don't agree with us". It drives me nuts when people talk like everyone agrees with then, but for whatever reason they can't. Making excuses for the troops saying their just following orders, they don't really agree with Bush.

I don't think I'm done ranting but i have to go now...I'll add more later.

9.01.2004

Test Complete

I had a little thing on here before called Radio Blog to see if it worked on my site. It would let me give the site a kind of soundtrack to listen to of some nice tunes I could provide. It worked but It screwed with the sidebars a bit, and I couldn't get it the right color...yet, but eventually I might work it in, just because I think its nifty.

Guess What? :-)

Yup school is in session again, which means a few things, less working, more computer time for me in the labs, and of course since I don't usually do school work in the labs, I'm gonna post more again. :-)

Ok to bring the page up to speed, a while ago I reformatted for the first time kind of just out of maintenance and got everything back where i wanted it, then my b-day came and I got myself a new video card and installed it. Shortly after Vivi(my computer) went all kablooey and I couldn't get into windows other than Safe mode, then i tried reformatting again and reinstalling windows. Well same thing happened only this time no windows installed, so i had no access at all. Then an awesome relative came over on a Sat morning and we found the problem which we assumed was the video card was in fact the sound card which just broke at a coincidental time. I got a new sound card, everythings all better. Still trying to recover a bit a find a few misc. programs I need. So thats why I've been away, and of course work which takes up much of my time.

Oh and let me mention HVCC went all out this year, new computers for the computer labs.....pretty spiffy I must say. But of course with all the new computer, they have new monitors, new mice....and new keyboards.
MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
The caps lock bandit lives again! Although I might wait a few days before I start, just so they don't like say "Mike was the only person who used this computer". I lull them into a false sense of security, then BAM! Caps locks start dissappearing.

All for now, I have a break later so I'll post again, so many things to talk about, its been so long.

8.13.2004

The System is Down

Just wanna let people know my computer is totally hosed at the time being. Hence, no updates, with any luck I'll be up and running again soon.

7.26.2004

Happy Almost B-day to me!

The rumors of my laziness are not entirely true. While I have been very lazy making posts its because i've been so busy with life. Working 9 hours a day 5 days a week, and then of course the prime girlfriend hours.

Let's see, what been goin down, birthday things, cause I'm almost a full adult, the big 2-1. I reformatted the old compy, which has been fun making it all cool again. Umm I burned my arm at work, random info. Oh yeah I'm out of debt, which is pretty cool.

But yeah Wednesday I turn 21, which will be cool, not that I don't really drink normally but legal drinking is cool,  not a big fan or beer, more of a mixed drink man m'self. But since Cat's going away on Vacation and I can't go, she wanted to have my party a little early, so we celebrated on Saturday, even got out of work early. We hung out had pizza and played WarioWare on the Gamecube, Catherine made many yummy deserts. And she's the best, she spoils me rotten, she got me so many things it makes me feel bad, but I love her for it. She's been gifting me for 2 weeks prior, a couple games, a wavebird controller, all the "Powers" TPBs, an action figure and some wonderful shirts. Matty N and Katie gave me a cool gift, a very special shirt that i plan on scanning in cause its awesome. Ferro gave me 2 cases of IBC root beer, which was amusing.

But yeah Cat like planned and payed for the whole party also, don't know how she does it. baloons(red and black of course), pizza, wings, plates, and of course a Spider-Man pinata, with I decapitated with one fell stroke. But it was a lot of fun just hangin out with some friends havin a good time. And 'Wario Ware Inc: Mega Party Games' is hella fun.

More on the other events I promise. :-)

6.11.2004

Just so tired

Y'know I'm really just ready to give up because nothing can ever go right. Everyone's mad at me no matter what happens, and I'm never allowed to be happy for very long. I found out yesterday that I'm aparently on a 2 week pay period, and thats just dandy cause it fucks up my whole life. I havn't had a job in 5 months, I finally get a job I work 3 days my first week. Get a paycheck for an ok amount to get throughthe week, and maybe start paying off some of my debt, and some regular payments. Then I go in the other day looking for a paycheck....and they look at me like I'm crazy. I didn't give any money to my dad last week cause its like my first measly little paycheck, I wanted to enjoy it, thinking next week I can start paying everything. I had to pay off a HVCC parking ticket which tapped me from what I had left of that money. Now I'm poor again till next Thursday, dad's all mad cause I havn't given him anything. I told him I was gonna give him 100 this week had I actually gotten a paycheck. Then he's like well that pretty much covers your insurense this month, you've been without money for this long you go without it for longer, as if I'm supposed to give my whole paycheck to him. But yeah no paycheck this week, and Catherine's b-day is next thursday but the party is Saturday, I was going to buy her something online but I can't now, I can't buy any gas other than the 5 bucks some lady gave me as a tip yesterday. Its just so fucking annoying I've been killing myself for 3 weeks, and have next to nothing to show for it, Catherine still has to pay for everything and we still don't have anything to do. My dad's being an ass because I didn't come home after work, because I was suprised by Catherine after work and she brought me to Jimmys Pizza. I didn't know, I told him as soon as i knew. I mean if Catherine shows up and suprises me and wants to take me to dinner after work, I'm supposed to say "I'm sorry I can't". I just want everyone to get off my ass and understand that I'm killing myself working for 9 hours a day 5 days a week (more than my dad works), someone feel sorry for me for once. No matter what I do after work someone is pissed at me. If I don't go home then my parents are pissed, if I don't see Cat she's annoyed and by then its almost too late to do anything.for the nest bunch of weeks I'm pretty much just hanging at my house since i have no gas, no money.

Whats Up With My Dad? - 1

Its time for a new segment here, I call it "What's Up With My Dad?"

Here's how it works my dad will say something dumb, usually involving him worrying about something irrational. Then you can read an laugh about it and make a comment saying what you think the real reason he said it.

Tonights scene is after work Catherine showed up and took me to Jimmy's for pizza, she has more gas so she drove, and I left my car at work, the walmart parking lot. After dinner cat drove us to my house to chill out for a bit. My dad asked where my car was, I told him back at Walmart. He got all uppidy about and said "People could be ransacking your car right now!". 1) My car is locked, 2) Car's parked right in front of the building, 3) Ummm Walmart does have a night crew I don't think they get ransacked everynight. The past few Thursdays me or cat do this, she'll show up when I'm done with work, one of us leaves our car, and we goto my house. The first time my dad was worried that Walmart doesn't have night parking and that I'd get towed and kept buggin me about it that night, now this. Talk amonst yourselves

Working, Working

Hello people, sorry its been so long, turns out when you work 9 hours a day the last thing you want to do is sit down and type, usually what I want to do involves my bed and fluffy pillows. Like I said in the last post I'm working at Wal-Mart working on cars oil changes and things. I work 5 days in a row and then I get 2 days off, and let me say by the 5th day working, you really just want to die. This week I'm kind of working the ass shift, which is 10am-7pm, which is kind of nice because it means I don't have to get up very early and rush out the door, and it also means I don't have to close and stay there till 9. But its a living, we'll see how long I can take it, it gets me all angry and stressed out cause like you don't want to screw up and do something wrong, cause you don't want to totally fuck someones car, and since no one wants to give me specifics half the time and make fun of you when your doing something wrong, and since I've never done stuff like this before, it can be frusterating. Its a pretty physical job to, I really beat the shit out of my hands, when i have to slam my hand, as hard as I can into a metal wrench to get something to move. Maybe in a while I'll be used to it, but its just right now it takes all my time and energy, when i get home I just want to stop moving.

Oooh, here's something, ok last Friday I'm having a shitty day at work, had to get up at 6, cars are being a pain in the ass, everyone is buggin meand just as I'm goin on lunch they say they have too many people, not enough work, so they allow me to go home early if I wanted. I took the oportunity, and then I went overthe money I had left over from my paycheck, and decided to buy the $60 transformer I've been wanting for a while, just something I wanted, cheer myself up a bit. I'm then on my way to Cat's house and not a mile down the road, the cops are stoppin people, and they end up stoppin me. I'm obviously annoyed, but I just keep sayin to myself "whats goin on?", "what the heck did I do?" then they give a ticket for not wearing my seatbelt. Arrrrg, it made me so mad, because 1) I always wear my seatbelt when I'm driving, its the first thing I do 2) I even remember saying to myself "its the cops, I better put my belt on." I blame work, simply because I always wear my seatbelt, but when I'm working and we move cars we never wear belts cause we're going a short distance, and I had to fight my urge to seatbelt practically everytime. But its just especially annoying because of course I get a ticket for something right after I spend like $60. As if my debt itsn't enough, I owe $300 to my dad plus continue playing the $70 a month for insurence now. Just this week I payed my $70 to HVCC, and I got a credit card bill comin. Man not having money for 5 months makes some nice debt.

Is anyone else really annoyed how you can't use movie passes on any of the good movies the first week they come out. You think that the studios are worried that a Harry Potter movie won't make money, just makes me angry cause me and Catherine have passes but we never get to use them right away. Its really annoying, me and Cat went to the mall to see the Potter movie on Sunday at like 7pm, we get there and of course can't use passes for it, or any other movie we wanted to see, we were forced to find something else in the area to entertain us, thank god for good ice cream.

This Was Only a Test

If you look to the right of this area of the site I'm sure you'll notice something new, recent posts, and the monthly archive. Don't I wish I coded that well, :-P. Blogger just gave themselves a huge update/makeover and the new features are really slick. They finally do commenting on their own, sadly this means I lost the old comments from the previous system. I finally have a way to do the monthly archiving pages automatically which is very nice. But yeah blogging has never been better and totally outclasses LiveJournal in my opinion in look and features. The testing took a while, I essentially took the most basic of the new blogger templates that had all the new sidebar stuff, and got it down to thew core code and shoved it in my index, moved a few things around and BAM new features...took me very many hours to get it just right.

I was going to make a big post about E3 but I never got around to it, got swept up in everything else going on. I never got to say how awesome the trailer was for the new Zelda game, or how promising the Nintendo DS actually looked. And you know how much Nintendo was badass this year, and of course, a new Metal Gear Solid Trailer, only 15mins long this year, for MGS3. I digress.

I have a job now, I'm an auto technician at a local Wal-Mart changing oil, replacing tires and such. Not bad so far just have to get used to things...since I've never worked on carts before. I've been working non-stop since Wednesday, money's good and for right now anyway lots and lots of hours, and I'd keep going but I have to sleep now actually, work at 7am tomorrow, or today, so I have to get up at 6 to go, oh well more later folks. G'night

5.10.2004

Huh?

I am so bored, and I shouldn't be because I have too much to do. Keep forgetting to make my schedule, gotta go online and get myself a better Economics grade, finish getting this job at Wal-Mart which is causing me to skip classes in the last week of school. I don't feel like doing anything, cause nothing sounds fun and everything feels like work. Part of it is because I finally have absolutely no money, nothing to fall back on. Gas is up, the year anniversary with Catherine is this weekend. Looks like I'll be working at Walmart in the auto department doing oil changes and tire stuff, but I have to take this drug test before i can start work or get trained or anything, and only one person has the key to get whatever it is I need for it. And that person keeps leaving before I get there, the department mamger brought me back there twice, and this person is never fucking there. Now I have to go on Wednesday and skip classes to get there before she freakin leaves. Did I mention I hate being the last person to finish school. I dunno I'm just in a wierd funk right now, or maybe I'm just feeling extra wierd today, oooh I remember now. Its the sleep deprivation!!! Seriously I just remembered I only got like little more than 3 hours sleep. I was writing my final journalism atricle worth 30% of our grade. and i quit halfway through because i was gonna pass-out. then I was gonna wake up at 7 and finish it, and I woke up at 7 ...then woke up again at 8, then I freaked out, got out of bed and ended up rewriting the whole thing skipping all my morning classes, and then went over to Walmart to try to do the drug test and you heard that part of the story. Oh yeah and i hate this time of year, fucking graduations, my weekends have been filled with BS. Two Sundays ago I had the 6 hour Defensive Driving Course, then this last weekend was all familt shit, that made me want to die. And then Saturday we celebrate my grandpa's 70th B-day, Sunday is my cousin John's Confirmation, and then the weekend after that, is my cousin Aimee's New Paltz Graduation....

Oh yeah Zara welcome back to USA, hope to see you soon.

I don't know if any of that has made any sense, but whatever. As I said I just remembered I was tired, And I only ate one meal today, and I excersiced which prolly worked against me...and I don't know why I'm still talking

Oh yeah I got word that Comcast the company that owns the Gaming Channel G4, just gave just about all of Tech TV their pink slips, they bought Tech TV a while ago and they had a feeling this was going to happen. Which is sad...because Tech TV is so much better than G4, and G4 sucks. Hopefully they at least keep the hosts and things and keep the good Tech TV shows. cause wow. I can't stress enough how bad G4 is.

Comics and People Messin With My Girl

Let's see I have some statistics I'm going to compile about my comic collection for the heck of it. Was curious about some of these, And these were the most significant figures.

Total Number: 1437
Marvel: 1001
DC: 278

X-Men Books : 536
Ulimate Books : 92
Wildcats Books : 72

Written by
Brian Michael Bendis : 129
Scott Lobdell : 99
Mark Waid : 81
Chris Claremont : 70

I was originally gonna talk about how Cat started talking on the AnimeYak Messageboard, and howthese creepy guys have started IMing her from there. One guy is a total nerd, who said that he loves her, keeps hugging her(online), and has her doing lame RP-ing. Now i mean they somehow got a growing potion and the kid does nothing but have them keep growing...and nothing happening. There's one other kid who just wants to try to cyber with her.

But you see let me tell you a story, you see Cat was posting away on a topic, and made a few sarcastc comments about how she liked men to fight over her. One guy comes out of nowhere all pissed offsaying that she's a terrible person for wanting men to fight over her, and that she should be shot. So later on the next day, Catherine started a topic, after a while of people posting, the same guy from before attacks her again all about how terible she is for wanting men to fight over her, I defend her a bit. He calls me a n00b, which I resent, since I try to be rational and intelligent, and you know un-n00b like. I tell him not to call me that, he starts attacking me, I keep my cool and talk to him rationally. All of a sudden I'm being attacked viciously and someone else joins the fun.The topic gets flooded with spam, I just ask that we get back on topic. The attacks continue, the mods are nowhere to be seen. I check my PMs on the board, its from the guy who started it all. He tell me he's doesn't mean any of what he said, just messing around. But you know what that just makes me more mad cause its like...thats retarded why the fuck whould you do this. What makes it more crazy is this is a guy who got the MOst Respected Award from the Website, its fucking ridonkulus...and crizazy.

Some Website Notes

Well let's see I totally redid Cat's site, she had been unhappy with what she had, plus it had only been meant as a place holder anyway. She never seemed to want to help me with ideas for her site when I sudgested. But we finnally sat down and discussed it. She said she liked thissite, and wanted it like that...only for her obviously. After some tweaking it was ready to go, then I had to make her blogs compatible and give them an appropriate look for the website. She wanted her livejournal for the main area, but that was kind of hard to figure out. As most of the options to do that with Live Journal usually require you to have a pay account which neither me nor Catherine have. SO I found a way to use the RSS Feed, which publishes the basic content of a site like news and stuff so anyone can can add it to their own news list or website, this worked except for the fact that it doesn't handle links very well, nor does it include a comment option, which she really wants. My website has a comment feature but because its not a traditional blog, I can't do it, but I'm looking into it. But so far so good.

As soon as I'm in the mood I have been wanting to rant about religion, but my mind is all over the place.

An Amazing Weekend...and Pr0n

Hmm I have a few thing I thought I'd bring others up to speed on. Last weekend my parents went away for the NCAA Hockey Finals, so I had the house to myself not that I was there very often. You see my parents left on Thursday morning and Catherine's parents left on Friday morning, where my parents went away for the weekend, hers went away for the week. So we had Friday, Sat, and 1/2 of Sun to ourselves. Since she just got the puppy, we stayed at her house, I basicly lived there. Friday we had our nice romantic evening. Saturday we went out saw "The Whole 10 Yards", which was quite funny I must say, we had a nice dinner at Fresno's, then went back to her house and hung out. We rented Porky's just because we figured we should see the classic nudity movie...man it was sooo bad, and what made it worse, we somehow got the edited version *sigh* so yeah it was just such a bad movie. We were so dissappointed. Sunday we had to get up early, and we met my parents back at my house, they got back that morning. We went to my Grandparent's house, had a nice Easter dinner.

It was a fun weekend, I know I had fun ;-). We had some little adventures, took a trip to Video Environment off of Central Ave. near Curver Creme. But yes its prolly the best Video Store in the area...they like have just about everything ever and most things are only 99cents to rent. But you see their claim to fame...is their pr0n section. I mean I had heard stories, my dad had been going to that video store for a long time (to get normal movies...at least thats what I tell myself)and he always said they had a rediculus pr0n section. Little did I know. I was hangin around with Mike down the street, for a while on Friday, and I decided to stop in, I saw some section of shelves and they had some pr0n on there, it looked like enough. but then we realized there was a little hallways near the checkout desk marked "mature" we decided to venture in...I mean how big could it be?

Ohhhh.....My....God!!!

Then Mike realized...we saw a bunch or people come in the store but we didn't see them in the regular area, they were all in here. It was wall to wall pr0n...it wasn't like a pr0n section, it was like a whole chunk of the store, I mean whoa. I had to contain myself because I wanted to just burst out laughing...because honestly it was really funny. As soon as I got out the door, I couln't stop laughing. Just anything you could think of pr0n wise was there, I mean I don't know how anyone chooses anything...I mean there's just so much, where would someone begin. I mean they had like a shelve of like a video series of you know "Barely Legal" but they have like 1 to like 60 or something rediculus like that...I mean its not like there's a storyline, so there's no reason to start at 1. I don't know plus its just like they all look the same preactically. But wow yeah it was so damn funny.

4.06.2004

Can anyone hear me?

Ugh today I went to check my work schedule, the Bakery manager said he was gonna give me Thursdays, from then I went to get the exact times. But low and behold, he's either dislexic or has a bad memory. Because its not Thursday I'm working...its tomorrow, Wednesday. The one day a week, I didn't put on my availability for work, the one day of the week I say I can't work. The one day I actually do something in the afternoon, I usually hang out with Catherine, and at some point get Comics. The one day I do things, and now I have to work at 3. Besides the fact I all of my classes on Wednesday. Arg I'm just so annoyed, cause now aparently its gonna be every wednesday. Of ourse i can't turn it down either cause I need hours badly. Fucking great.

Comings and Goings

This last weekend was pretty eventful.

On Friday I went with Catherine and her parents to get a puppy. About an hour drive we got there, and we saw the 5 puppies we had to choose from. 4 of them were all trying to impress us, while 1 of them was by himself in the corner. He was the smallest of the puppies, and he looked like he needed love, I of course wanted that one. They chose another puppy and he was cool. This was the puppies first car ride, he didn't seem happy about it, he got car sick muchly, he got me and Catherine both. Brought him back to their house we had a bunch of food, pizza and stuff. I found out a couple of my New Paltz friendswere trying to get ahold of me, which bviously didn't work out.

Saturday I went down to Cat's house since we were going to her Grandma's B-day party. But before we went had leftover pizza for lunch. Then Jim stopped in with his gf Sara to see the puppy since Jim likes puppies. We chatted and stuff and went to get Ice Cream. They went on their way, and me and Cat had some good fun before we had to go. At the B-Day party loaded up on even more Pizza.

Sunday I actually got ahold of my New Paltz people, and they came down to visit for a while, we chatted, went to Bob's Diner, caught up and stuff. Good times, I'm gonna have to go down there some time.

3.29.2004

Rasterbation is fun.

Well lets see. My spring break is over now, and I had some fun especially on Wednesday, all had with Catherine of course. Which is fine and dandy I'm just disappointed I didn't get to hang with any of my friends, since we all had different spring breaks which is lame, and everyone seemed to be busy this week. My dad was home which meant I couldn't go nuts around the house. All I accomplished over break was working some hours finally, and reading around 60 comic issues on my computer, which is fine by me as I said Powers was really good, and I read just about all of JLA.

This weekend, went to the movies twice, saw The Ladykillers, and Dawn of the Dead. Which now that I think about it is funny since they are both remakes of old movies. I enjoyed The Ladykillers, Tom Hanks has proven he can do just about any role. He pulled this off extremely well, the eccentric character he plays is fantastic, just wish he had some more "lines" you know the ones that you say over and over again when you think of the movie. Tom Hanks had a few but not as many as I would have hoped for such a fun character.

Dawn of the Dead, Catherine liked it, I shagrinned, just because I'm not as fond of horror/zombie flicks as she is. I thought it was ok, just very generic. No official explanation for the zombies was ever given. Its just everyone goes to sleep, then when the wake up Zombies have taken over!! So of course they goto the Mall for safety. And this must be one hell of a mall if all the Mall Security staff has guns. Ving Rhames is good in this movie he played his character very well, the only standout actor in the movie I thought. The parts I liked were the ones w/o much Zombie activity. There were some points where...it just didn't need to be in the movie I didn't need to see that. There was a whole story segment that delt with a pregnant lady who was slowly being zombied, and she gave birth and the baby was also Zombied. Trust me is much nastier than I can convey. The one thing that drove me nuts was at one point they start playing this Jazzy song, and the words were familiar...then I realized it was "Down with the Sickness" a song by Disturbed, sung by a Frank Sinatra type singer, swear words and all...it just felt really trippy.

I ended up going to bed pretty late the last few days, and I woke up today at 7, and my legs felt weak, felt like I had put my face on wrong. I soon went back to just lay in my bed again for a few minutes because my bed, which shall hence forth be known as "The Jumble", was just so insanely comfy today. But yeah I totally fell asleep, had a disturbing dream. Well first of all my mom died, and for some reason my dad and I had to move to house that was just like the one we have but no basement. Then these 2 other kids came to live with us, and for some reason I didn't like them. Then I looked out my window, and I saw a bear. Now normally I like bears, I never see any harm in them. But this bear like charged at my window and them like roared in my face and scared the crap out of me, and I woke up and it was 8 and I had to get my ass going.

Which brings me to Rasterbation, while in one of the Computer Labs I saw Shawn Coblish, he's a pretty crazy guy. He showed me this site. The Rasterbator, you upload a picture or give it a pictures address and then you crop and size it, and then it changes the picture so its made of different sized black dots. You size it as to how many sheets of paper the picture will take up, like I made one thats 3 pages wide, 5 pages tall, and it makes a .pdf file. Which you can use to print it out put it together and make a pretty slick mural on your wall. I'm working on a couple right now. Give it a try, its pretty nifty.

Powers Secrets

Let's see I got out of Jury Duty on Monday, but for 40 bucks a day it certainly wouldn't have been that bad. But it was a rape case against 2 people...I wanted no part of that.

Also on Suprnova they finally got "Powers" a comic series I've been wanting to read for a while and just ended a week or so ago. Its about a couple of police officers in a special homicide unit that deals with 'Powers' or super powered people, heros, villains. I bought the first trade a little while ago, and I definetly wanted to continue reading it. But yeah I read about 31 issues of it on my computer...yesterday, I couldn't stop reading. of course I get to the end and...the last issue isn't there. I read about 31 issues, and the last issue of the series and storyarc isn't there. So I of course went out today and bought the last issue. But yeah so good.

I'm kinda sad I missed it when it first started. It started off with that premise, and its good, but it becomes so much more. You get to see what superheros are really likeThe writer also did some research on cops for this to make it more accurate, his dialogue is spot on and his characters are so enjoyable to read, and actually emote. The art is fantastic very vibrant, jumps off the page. Its actually starting with a new #1 this month or next, I definetly plan to start reading that. They stepped away from the homicide part for awhile, ended up being quite an epic, but now after a certain event 'powers' are now illegal, to be a hero or villain. And the homicide team is back together doing what they do best and that where the series kicks off, I can't wait. Powers is written by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by Michael Avon Oeming. This writer now writes almost all the comics on my current top five including Daredevil, The Pulse and now Powers.

Hmm maybe I can get Cat into this one, its CSI-ish, good characters, plenty of gore. Worth a try?

Also I added the secret section back, with the old stuff, and one thing I plan to keep adding/changing. I'll keep looking for more stuff to put there.

3.18.2004

New Review

I wrote the first of my reviews of my assortment of Graphic Novels/Trade Paperbacks. The first was Fortune and Glory, a real funny story about this writers experience in Hollywood, and shows how movies really get made. If can be found in the Ego section, my friends all know if they want to borrow one of my comics, they are more than welcome.

And so my Spring Break has begun, looks like I'll be stuck with my dad most of the week, and I already said some of the other stuff thats happening, but hopefully I'll still find dome time to have fun.
Thats all I got for now, I'm off to work. Laters

3.17.2004

Server Switch, Forum Down..For Now

Just so everyone knows, my hosting service just switched us to upgraded servers. So the website has been down a little bit here and there. Also, because of the switch, can't connect with the Database which holds all the information on the board. I have a friend who hosts a board and has the same service as i do, so I figure we'll help each other get things back up and running.

Also I just dicscovered that FTP is down also...which means no one will be able to see this till everything is fixed anyway. *sigh* What a super day I'm having.

3.16.2004

New Pictures

Well I added the room section, for those who don't know me, a small glimpse inside my den of evil. Next is the long in coming Otakon2003 pics.

Yeah...right now for some reason I'm just in a funk. I literally don't want to do anything at the moment. Don't want to write anything or sit down, I didn't really want to even write this. I've been playing Pokemon SIlver as of late. I really liked it in the start, but I feel like there's waaay too much to do in the game, its much less linear than Pokemon Red/Blue were. But I kind of liked that about Red/Blue, plus I swear to god I have like half of the badges, and yet still all I see are Rattatas and Zubats...I can't take any more of them. They supposedly added new pokemon types, and I havn't seen them and I havn't even seen the normal types. I'm already thinking of restarting Silver just because...ok well in the start of the game you have to choose to start with Grass-type, Fire-type, or Water-type. I picked grass...its kind of good, but yeah I really wish I had chosen water right now.

But yeah as i was saying I don't feel like doing anything right now, I've played too much Pokemon, its too early to go to Bed, and I don't know whats on TV, and I'm too lazy to check. Just so you know I'm not depressed...I'm just I don't know...done for the day.

3.09.2004

Updates, yep i still do those

Well lets see, some long in coming updates to the Ego section, 1 new poem I like, and 1 new story I wrote based some stories people told me and some life experiences. I stated before I found my first college notebook, and it has some stuff I plan on putting here, a list or 2, some journal stuff. I also think I'm going to try and do a review of all my graphic novels, because that will be fun, and because it'd be impossible to do reviews for all my comic books :-P.

Also I tweaked things a bit, added a line on the right side. Cleaned up some more code, changed the line between the menu and the content area from an image of a line to a border, and changed the line under the banner from a bunch of underscores to a border, which is better.

Also I've been posting on various msg boards asking for critiques/suggestions about the new design. I got people saying they didn't like the blur shadow in the banner (I don't really care about this one, I like the banner as is), one person didn't like the red thought it was hard to read was too bright, I don't remember now but I think one person said the font was too small. What do you think?
If you could change one thing what would it be?

3.07.2004

Spring Break

Well my Spring Break is shaping up to be fantabulus. It started with the fact that I've been out of work for the past 5 weeks because no one can give me hours at Price Chopper. But the Bakery told me that they were going to give me some hours in March. They want me Friday, Saturday, Sunday, during the closing shift, on the last 2 weekends in March. Which are the weekends on the ends of my Spring Break, or the only times I'd be able to hangout with anyone else, since no ones Spring Break is at the same time anymore. I can't turn it down because...I need the money. But now it gets even better, Jury Duty starting the Monday of my Spring Break, fucking whoopie.

In other news I met with Teo, and we organized his site and he's fixing up using the template we made. It shaping up pretty good. Insert Name is a fine addition to TheYanni.Net

Hmm I thought I had more to say...guess I was wrong.

3.05.2004

For the Masses

Well if you noticed on the side-bar, a forum has been added, simply entiled "The Forum" just a hub for me and some friends to discuss stuff so far, but all are welcome. We're all friendly people, and pretty experienced at this Message Board thing. I can attest that any post will be met with an intelligent answer. I have no tolerance for people wo are just plain ignorant.

3.04.2004

Message Board?

Hmm nothin much to report here, just tryin to think where to hid all my secrets...and I'm messing with a Message Board at the moment, seeing if I can think of a good use for it, or if there's interest in it. Just because I use Message Boards a lot, plus I've never set one up on my own before, felt I should know how to do it. Cause at its heart this site is my portfolio for webdesign, and my abilities. Plus it could be fun if enough people regularly use it. Drop a comment if you have an opinion.

3.02.2004

This Looks Like A Job For...Me!

Well you see, I discovered I had a little problem with Mozilla, it had some problems with the menu. In Internet Explorer it required line breaks(they make stuff go on the next line down), and Mozilla didn't need those same line breaks it did it automatically, so in certain places it went down 2 lines making some gaps in the menu. So I had to find some code that would be able to tell which webbrowser a person was using and then added or removed the line breaks when necessary. This is something many sites need especially big company websites, since there are a lot of browsers, and other people who don't use updated browsers. A lot of sites use that kind of code to make different versions of their website appear depending on which browser a person uses so it always looks correct. But it was suprisingly hard to find. One easy way would have worked except for the fact that Internet Explorer and some other browsers don't Identify themselves as what they actually are.

Internet Explorer tells the Site something like this:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0)
But every version of Internet Explorer says something slightly different

Mozilla Browsers tell the Site something like this:
Mozilla/5.0 ( ) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8
plus their are a few different Mozilla Browsers so they all say something slightly different

This made my job annoying. Everyone had all these ways that supposedly worked but didn't, so I had to go mess with some guy's code that had a good idea, but didn't work because it tried to do 2 things at once, which made it not work. But I got it to work now by finding words that uniquely identify each browser in that line that's up above. I used a function that could search that line of information for specific words, Netscape is simply "Netscape", Internet Explorer is "MSIE", Mozilla is "Gecko" . If anyone else uses another browser that these 3 and the site looks wrong tell me.

Comings and Goings

Ah Well now that we're fully in the swing of things with the new look, and the cleaning up and trimming the site in some area. I have some announcements that have been made in other places but not here. But the Mighty Matrix has finished, me and Matty just never got the time or the drive back to continue doing stories...oddly enough we now both have started our own comic strips. But since it has finished, I will be taking down the Mighty Matrix Website, hosted here. If anyone wants they can find copies of all the Mighty Matrix stuff on Matty's Website.

While we say goodbye to MightyMatrix.theyanni.net , we say hello to insertname.theyanni.net . Insert Name, a comic previously hosted at Keenspace, is now hosted here. Made by my young friend Teo, we're setting him up here to join the family. The site is basically set up now but we're still working out a few bugs. I'll have to have a little web design brainstorming session with him to help him spruce things up, and get things more organized. Also for some reason when he uploaded his stuff, it initially didn't show any pictures for some reason, but yet when I downloaded everything from the site and re-uploaded from my computer, everything worked...really wierd. But yes I'm working with him, and I think we're going to try and spruce up TheCatherine also, she's been unhappy with her design, and we keep forgetting to mess with it.

And I also have been going through some of my old notebooks, and found some journal-ish stuff I wrote that predates anything from the 'Red' that I plan to add to it, and a few other things I wrote that will be a much needed update to 'Ego'.

3.01.2004

And the Winner Is...

Oscar Time, and yeah I watched them, I took notes and stuff as I watched, and here they are.

Is Billy Crystal still using Marlon Brando jokes? Like all his jokes and impressions are from people long dead, or from about 15 years ago. Contemporize Man! But seriously the opening was atrocious, and I discovered I don't like Billy Crystal that much after all.

Best Supporting Actor: Tim Robbins (Mystic River) Good Guy, but never expected to win an Oscar, man his speech was long
Best Production Design: Lord of the Rings - Return of the King, design in Seabiscuit are you serious.
Best Animated Feature: Finding Nemo ..I was rooting for Triplets of Belleville, but Nemo was really good
Best Costume Design: Lord of the Rings - Return of the King
Best Supporting Actress: Renée Zellweger (Cold Mountain)

Bob Hope sure did seem like a classier host than Billy Crystal could ever be.

Best Live Action Short: Two Soldiers ..Never heard of it
Best Animated Short: Harvey Crumpet ..Never heard of it
Achievement in Special Effects: Lord of the Rings - Return of the King

Hmm I mean Jennifer Garner usually looks ok...but for some reason she looked really hot up there, maybe it was the hair?

Jim Carrey got a little too personal, but the guy he was giving the award to was a funny guy, I should see some of his movies.

Achievement in Makeup: Lord of the Rings - Return of the King
Achievement in Sound Mixing: Lord of the Rings - Return of the King, That's 5 for 5
Achievement in Sound Editing: Master and Commander ..only because Lord of the Rings wasn't up for it

Why did Julia Roberts dye her hair blonde? I swear if one more person dyes their hair blonde I'm gonna go crazy. I go out with a REAL blonde, damn straight, accept no substitutes.

Oprah WTF?

Best Documentary Short: Chernobyl Heart ..no one cares moving on
Best Documentary Feature: The Fog of War *sigh* why Do Documentary film makers have to use the Oscars as a political pulpit, Son of a Bitch!
Best Original Score: Lord of the Rings - Return of the King ...and 6
Achievement in Film Editing: Lord of the Rings - Return of the King ..7
Best Original Song: "Into the West" Lord of the Rings - Return of the King ..8
Best Foreign Language Film: The Barbarian Invasions
Achievement in Cienmatography: Master and Commander ..again only because Lord of the Rings wasn't nominated
Best Adapted Screenplay: Lord of the Rings - Return of the King ..9
Best Original Screenplay: Lost in Translation
Achievement in Directing: Peter Jackson (Lord of the Rings - Return of the King) .. and 10, this was the only one I knew they definitely win, just because Jackson had s much to do with every part of this movie, more than almost any other director, he totally led this film to greatness.
Best Leading Actress: Charlize Theron (Monster) ..She's good, I mean she won and still looked really ugly in this movie. I thought she really looked as bad as she did in the movie, but it was just makeup.
Best Leading Actor: Sean Penn ...I know I thought it was gonna be Bill Murray to.
Best Picture: Lord of the Rings - Return of the King ..11 for 11, nice
come on it had to be.

New Look, New Name

Yep, This site is no longer "Yanni: The nExt", now just simply "TheYanni.Net". I liked the site before, the general look. But I just felt I needed to change. Its been about 3 years now since i started this site. The basic look never changed, just got more refined. I started with just knowledge of HTML, then I took classes and learned CSS and some advanced HTML and as I learned I applied it to this site, from doing a journal by hand, to using a blog, to have to change every site, to have to change one file. The look never changed, the code got cleaner and cleaner but no one could even tell but me. And I wanted to do something new but never had the oportunity, time, or initiative. But after taking some PHP and failing that class miserably, I got some ideas going, which finally became this.

I finally have a profesional looking website. Just about all the things that bothered me before that I couldn't fix about my code have been fixed, by the sheer nature of how different this site is from the previous. A mix of some powerful CSS properties which I just found, and a little PHP. I've wanted to be a webdesigner, and now I have something to show someone and be proud of. Just got a few little things to work on namely the Archive, and a few files that Needed to be converted to the new style 2 years ago, which I plan to finally get to.

I'm just really happy that this works, and didn't have any major faults or annoyances that I always seem to have had in the past. Yay. I just need to find a new place to hide all of my secrets...

Fuck Everything, We're Doing Five Blades

Would someone tell me how this happened? We were the fucking vanguard of shaving in this country. The Gillette Mach3 was the razor to own. Then the other guy came out with a three-blade razor. Were we scared? Hell, no. Because we hit back with a little thing called the Mach3Turbo. That's three blades and an aloe strip. For moisture. But you know what happened next? Shut up, I'm telling you what happened-the bastards went to four blades. Now we're standing around with our cocks in our hands, selling three blades and a strip. Moisture or no, suddenly we're the chumps. Well, fuck it. We're going to five blades.

Sure, we could go to four blades next, like the competition. That seems like the logical thing to do. After all, three worked out pretty well, and four is the next number after three. So let's play it safe. Let's make a thicker aloe strip and call it the Mach3SuperTurbo. Why innovate when we can follow? Oh, I know why: Because we're a business, that's why!

You think it's crazy? It is crazy. But I don't give a shit. From now on, we're the ones who have the edge in the multi-blade game. Are they the best a man can get? Fuck, no. Gillette is the best a man can get.

What part of this don't you understand? If two blades is good, and three blades is better, obviously five blades would make us the best fucking razor that ever existed. Comprende? We didn't claw our way to the top of the razor game by clinging to the two-blade industry standard. We got here by taking chances. Well, five blades is the biggest chance of all.

Here's the report from Engineering. Someone put it in the bathroom: I want to wipe my ass with it. They don't tell me what to invent-I tell them. And I'm telling them to stick two more blades in there. I don't care how. Make the blades so thin they're invisible. Put some on the handle. I don't care if they have to cram the fifth blade in perpendicular to the other four, just do it!

You're taking the "safety" part of "safety razor" too literally, grandma. Cut the strings and soar. Let's hit it. Let's roll. This is our chance to make razor history. Let's dream big. All you have to do is say that five blades can happen, and it will happen. If you aren't on board, then fuck you. And if you're on the board, then fuck you and your father. Hey, if I'm the only one who'll take risks, I'm sure as hell happy to hog all the glory when the five-blade razor becomes the shaving tool for the U.S. of "this is how we shave now" A.

People said we couldn't go to three. It'll cost a fortune to manufacture, they said. Well, we did it. Now some egghead in a lab is screaming "Five's crazy?" Well, perhaps he'd be more comfortable in the labs at Norelco, working on fucking electrics. Rotary blades, my white ass!

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe we should just ride in Bic's wake and make pens. Ha! Not on your fucking life! The day I shadow a penny-ante outfit like Bic is the day I leave the razor game for good, and that won't happen until the day I die!

The market? Listen, we make the market. All we have to do is put her out there with a little jingle. It's as easy as, "Hey, shaving with anything less than five blades is like scraping your beard off with a dull hatchet." Or "You'll be so smooth, I could snort lines off of your chin." Try "Your neck is going to be so friggin' soft, someone's gonna walk up and tie a goddamn Cub Scout kerchief under it."

I know what you're thinking now: What'll people say? Mew mew mew. Oh, no, what will people say?! Grow the fuck up. When you're on top, people talk. That's the price you pay for being on top. Which Gillette is, always has been, and forever shall be, Amen, five blades, sweet Jesus in heaven.

Stop. I just had a stroke of genius. Are you ready? Open your mouth, baby birds, cause Mama's about to drop you one sweet, fat nightcrawler. Here she comes: Put another aloe strip on that fucker, too. That's right. Five blades, two strips, and make the second one lather. You heard me-the second strip lathers. It's a whole new way to think about shaving. Don't question it. Don't say a word. Just key the music, and call the chorus girls, because we're on the edge-the razor's edge-and I feel like dancing.

2.17.2004

Let's see the most current update of me is Valintine's Day was great, sadly i got sick at the very end of it. You can see Catherin's Blog is you really want to know the details. All I will say about it is, it was a lot of fun, we ate very heartilly. And because my parents gave me gas money and her mom gave us some extra cash, our gift certificates to the 99 and the movies and the movie concession stand, we spent not a dime of our own money, which is hot. In fact I made 4 bucks because I got change back from our $10 gift certificate that I used for soda. But yeah a great night with my favorite lady.

But yeah then I've been sick, I still don't know how my nose can produce so much mucus. Where in my face has it keeping it all? It truely is one of life's greatest mysteries. In the meantime while being sick, I convinced Cat to watch Clerks with me, which she seemed not to hate. We just layed around for a while on Sunday, we just layed on my bed in the dark and we had just one of those really good conversations, it was cool, one of those times where its just like you know what...we're awesome :-P.

I'm taking Micro-Economics and we're supposed to have quizzes online, and they are supposedly set up by now, and the first like 4 have to be done by Friday...so I got off my ass tonight and went to Blackboard, and of coursethere are no links to the quizzes. I look in every section, nothing, but at least I found out one cool thing, class is cancelled tomorrow. So I can sleep for an extra hour.

Bah, tomorrow my kind of "deadline" for my review of the 99 for "The Hudsonian". I havn't written anything for it yet, why I don't even know how I'm supposed to write a food review. I suppose I'll find one in a local paper and kind of model it after that. I missed the Assignment meeting yesterday, cause I was sick and really didn't want to go anywhere yesterday.

I've decided to start watching Buffy, and try to watch the Seasons of Angel I missed. Cat's a big Buffy/Angel fan, I've been watching Angel this season, its good. Its an interesting universe so I looked online and found when the FX channel would start Buffy from the beginning again. I was gonna download them with BitTorrent but that'd take forever since their not new torrents and their like 5 Gigs big.

Warning: Entering Political Mode

Oh man, this is great. I'm laughing my ass of here. I think you all know how I feel about the Bush and the Democratic Nominees. I like Bush, and the Democratic race has been a joke. I loved the Dean yelling thing, that was sound byte heaven, it was funny on its own, and then everyone added commentary or music that made it hillarious. And now we have this new news. Which you might not have heard yet because none of the news stations want to be the first person to carry it, because you know the liberal bias and all. John F. Kerry, the front runner, is now under inventigation about an intern scandal. But thats not half the fun, thats in how it was released. The following reports are from http://www.drudgereport.com/ .

-In an off-the-record conversation with a dozen reporters earlier this week, General Wesley Clark plainly stated: "Kerry will implode over an intern issue." [Three reporters in attendance confirm Clark made the startling comments.]

-The Kerry commotion is why Howard Dean has turned increasingly aggressive against Kerry in recent days, and is the key reason why Dean reversed his decision not to drop out of the race after Wisconsin.

"Intrigue surrounds a woman who recently fled the country, reportedly at the prodding of Kerry."

"A serious investigation of the woman and the nature of her relationship with Sen. John Kerry has been underway at TIME magazine, ABC NEWS, the WASHINGTON POST, THE HILL and the ASSOCIATED PRESS, where the woman in question once worked."

I'm sorry this is just so hillarious, but one funny thing is that this news broken by General Wesley Clark, a candidate hand picked by former president Bill Clinton.
And now reports of General Wesley Clark yelling at reporters saying " I said it was off the record!!"
I mean seriously how was this not planned, he essentially tells a bunch of reporters some big juicy story, and then says "but don't tell anybody". The only way to keep a secret is to not tell anybody, certainly its not by trusting a bunch of reporters to keep a secret. And if this is true Kerry's pretty much done. Now the only question remains how the heck did Clark find out? And the fact he said this right before he dropped out. But seriously this is priceless.

Hooha, the Stick Figure section is up and running under a wonderful PHP script, its Based on Walrus with a few tweaks on my own. Its up and running but I will be attempting to make it look a bit nicer. Also I altered the second strip so it wasn't so wide on the page, and it looks much nicer.

Can I say thank god for teachers who use the same stuff every semester. I'm taking a programming class over again, I took it with this teacher 2 semesters ago, he's doing all the same labs, assigning all the same programs, its great. He just mentions what the program does, I find it in my directory, and then procede do to something more worth while.

Be Seeing You.
Well yesterday I ended up doing the yearly remake all the buttons for the side bar, which if you've been coming here for a while, some are slightly different, and I've added a new one. The Stick Figures section which will be home to my new webcomic. I should have the section up by tomorrow at the latest.

Oh man yesterday I must have had the biggest headache ever. I went all morning at school, having me in pain. It made me even more pleasent during classes. I came home and and took some Acetaminenophin and I was good for a while. Then I decided to goto the meeting for "The Hudsonian" the school newspaper, and for my first job, I guess I'm doing a review of the 99' Restaurant on Wolf Rd. to start off. But my headache came back later that night. I took some more medicine. Then just laied down on the top of the bed, put an episode of The Prisoner on the comp, and then I woke up in the morning under the covers. I totally blacked out, or was just out of it last night. I got so much sleep it must be illegal. I feel a lot better today, thats for sure. I just walked in and told my dad, "I don't remember last night", and he filled me in. My dad came in and "woke me up" and I got under the covers and went to sleep, I was sleepwalking that part. I havn't done that in a long time. Its wacky. Especially since I just saw Butterfly Effect, ooooh.

Be Seeing You.

Y'know with all this new webserver stuff and changing from .com to .net I forgot to actually configure the e-mail here. But I took care of that, I got askyanni@theyanni.net and a catch-all to grab anything with @theyanni.net on the end. which i never even had at the old site. And I think I know where to put these comics I'm doing. But i have to make a new section on the side bar, and remember exactly how I made the buttons again, although I might have made a template, which would be helpful.

Just saw American Splendor, thats a pretty good flick.

I'm going away for most of the weekend, off to see some World's Strongest Man Competition with Catherine, its her thing. She came with me to Genericon, so I figure I owe her this. Plus I get a free meal or 2 out of it, :-P

Be Seeing You.
Finally found something I wanted to download and watch. A show I've been searching for for a while now. Called The Prisoner, its from 1968, and was probably ahead of its time, its 17 episodes long.

A man who resigns from a top secret position and is then abducted from his London home. He finds himself in The Village, where everything is bright and cheerful - the people, their clothes, the buildings, the flowers. But despite this rosey exterior, the village serves a sinister purpose. People are forcibly brought there in order to have their valuable knowledge protected or extracted. Village residents are assigned a number - the Prisoner is Number Six. Chief interrogator and administrator is Number Two. But who is Number One?

Its a pretty nifty show, very psycological, very stylish in presentation and design, can be very surreal at times. Its one of those shows that nobody saw, but is always parodyed and refferenced. You watch it and think, oh so thats where that came from. Reboot did an episode that copied the idea, Simpsons have used the a bad guy from it, and there are many others that escape me right now.

But its cool :-P

Also there's that Evangelion Live Action Movie thats being produced, still in preproduction, but the WETA Workshop, the people that made the props and effects for Lord of the Rings are allready hard at work, news is they have a script confirmed, and that just about all the names will be changed, but that was expected. Its being made in conjunction with ADV and Gainax, and the concept art looks very promising and fantastic. here's a link http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/butchsvideostop/Eva%20LIVE.htm this site has tons of pictures and information on it.

Dah time for Programming, I'm off

Be Seeing You.

Just a note about the actual events depicted in this comic. We were eating lunch one day...i had a Hot pocket which was mighty tasyty(ham and chedder)...i made Michael some lunch as well a BLT some fries and some tomato bisque soup which was a new type of soup we were trying. i added some pepporoni for some extra special flavor. Well....i decided i asked to try it since it was a new kind of soup and i was quite, quite pleased with the taste! It was damn good and i quietly proclaimed "i'd make love to that soup later"....! Of course the wonderful man that he is, Michael pretended to be jealous and thus came an idea for this comic! And just for the record...i'm not some soup violater...by 'make love" i meant eat vigously and sensualy.

2.03.2004

Ok second comic up, I'm trying a few things. And we have the introduction of Cat to the comic. I had a hard time making her pony tail not look like some odd tumor, you can see I did it 3 different ways. Came up with this during lunch with Cat last week. I'm thinking of putting this in a sidebar section just called "Sticks" and just use that as the name I suppose, :-P. And then of course the merchandising begins.

2.01.2004

Oh man I don't know if I can hold out anymore. I might not have the willpower to stay away, I am truely scared. Just when I thought I wouldn't buy anymore, they have to make this batch so fantastic I can barely hold myself back. In case you havn't guessed, which you prolly havn't, I'm talking Transformers. You know back in my high school days I became a fiend for awhile, being that I really liked the Beast Wars/Machines shows. And with the return of vehicle Transformers it was a buying shmorgasbourd. It ended when the current show began, Transformers Armada. I bought one toy from that and then I went cold turkey. No problems the toys weren't as cool anymore, and they kept getting uglier. But you see then three new special TFs came out. They are like licenced vehicles created with tons of detail, and you's say wow that's a slick looking car model, and then BAM they are also kick ass Transformers, and the robot modes are modelled after characters from the original Transformers.

First we have Smokescreen, a Subaru Impreza WRC 2003, in car mode and he looks really slick with his doors and trunk that can be opened. Then he can transform in to his superfly robot mode, and here we can see him with the original toy of this character.

Then we move on to Sideswipe, a Dodge Viper SRT-10, in his candy apple red car mode, and with workable doors and hood . The he transforms to be a crazy robot warrior :-P.

Ahh but you see I've saved the best for last, for this is now considered the best transformer ever made. Yes it is an Optimus Prime figure, he's 11 inches tall (roughly), looks exactly like he did in the TV show, Movie, and even the old comics. For the first time in a toy of this accuracy and detail to the show, he is fully transformable to his truck mode, which is also perfect. For the first time in a transformable toy like this, Optimus comes complete with the autobot matrix of leadership,(seen in the movie), which can be removed and the toy can evcen hold it. This toy has so many details I can't mention them all I can do is send you to the image gallery, because its just such a cool toy.

I know I'm prolly like the only person I know who could get excited about this, but they are just soo cool. And that Optimus costs quite the pretty penny, but ahh soo cool. SO yeah if I even get money again maybe I'll have to splurge and get one of these bad boys, they'd look slick on one of my shelves. And of course I'd play with them all the time. :-D. All for now laters.

1.27.2004

Here's the first Comic I've done, its here till I make a section for it.

[Moved to Stick Figures Section]

1.26.2004

Well today was the first day I hat to commute by car to go from one class to another, it was a painful experience. Because no one knows how to drive at my school, I sat in my car not moving for like 8 minutes in the parking lot. And I have 10 minutes between classes to get from one end of campus to the other, and walking would have taken too long...plus its was freaking cold today. I'll have to make a diagram sometime to show you #1 how retarded the parking lot is designed, since they took out one of the enterences, so they could gain 2 parking spaces and #2 how no one can drive, or knows how to drive in a parking lot. But after the infuriating effort of getting to my next class, which i was late for, I was ticked off since its the one class that I think I'm gonna like, Journalism.

In the class politics came up which is to be expected in such a class. Of course as always no one can talk about issues civily, it always comes down, well I hate Bush, he's an idiot, ...(Insert dumb rhetoric here).... And of course 2 people had to use it as a little pedistal to preach their beliefs. Someone brought up how barely half of the country even voted in the last Presidential election. One person seemed so proud of herself she hadn't voted, and was so ready to complain about the winner. Then we had the old guy in the class (every class has at least one, in my college), who found it amusing that he decided to not vote in the last handful of elections in the state, but he made sure he was gonna vote now cause he hates Bush. All I could think of was that they were a bunch of whiners, idiots, and the reason I fear for the future.

Voting is the most powerful way we are involved in government, if no one voted, then politicians could do whatever they wanted, which is a scary thought. I mean if you don't vote, you don't have a say in anything that happens in the goverment, you shouldn't be aloud to complain since you didn't do anything to stand up for your beliefs. If you don't vote you don't matter, no one cares what you think. Poloticians know only about half the population votes, and their not going to spend time and money bothering to try and give you what you want, because your not going to vote for them anyway. They will focus on groups that always vote, you better hope they have the same interests you do, but don't count on it. If it were up to me, you should have to vote in a Presidential election or else you lose some kind of government benefit. Like you don't get welfare unless you vote I mean Christ they get a free ride, why not at leats participate and vote, not like they're going to work. But I hoped in my class I could escape the random Bush hating. But most of the class didn't even react to those people. Which leads me to believe my hypothesis is correct, only those against something are outspoken, I mean you only see Protests against Bush, not like we're gonna have a big "Keep doing a good job" ralley. If you think he's doing a good job, you go about your day normally. But if you think he has down syndrome (something someone said in my class) you have to go out of your way to make sure everyone knows how you feel, and how right you think you are.

But I am happy to say it inspired me to make my first new comic strip for the main site, I have a few titles I'm throwing around for it, "Pissed", "If I knew you, you'd probably piss me off", "I Hate You", "Voices In My Head", "What I Wanted to Say", and the like. I am working to get this up by the end of the night. I'm just doing slightly more than stick figures for now, who knows maybe I'll magically get really good at drawing but I doubt it. But yeah the comic will just be some real life situations, but I get to say what I wanted to say :-P. Or you know any other funny things I think of. I already have cast lined up. The main character is me, then I have my antagonists who represent all annoying or dumb people who drive me crazy, Dumb-Girl, Dumb-Guy, African Amercan, and I'll throw in my friends for fun if the situation call for it. Oh well thats all I got. Later all :-D

Also if anyone knows a job where a webdesigner could be useful gimmie an e-mail, I also work retail :-P.

1.22.2004

Here's a little story for y'all. Y'see me and Ferro were making plans for New Comic Book day, he said if I could give him a ride, he had to go to his house, and get pants, aparently he forgot. So it was Wednesday, comic day, and after spending the afternoon with the lovely Catherine, it was time to be off, she had dance, and I had to scurry to grab Ferro and get to the comics before 6:30, closing time. But yeah I told Cat and my Dad that I had to give Ferro a ride to get pants, because while moving back to his place on campus, he didn't bring any besides the pair he was wearing. But everyone kept asking me why he needed a ride since he did have his own car, and for the life of me I couldn't remember I was like "His car's out of gas or something like that", it was the oddest thing. And I guess my parents didn't understand my plan, they had the impression that I'd just be going over to Ferro's home and taking pants for him. But yeah when i went to pick him up I had to ask him, "Why am i giving you a ride again?". Yeah his car is in the shop, so all was well. And i finally finished watching those crazy Star Trek Movies, well never finished the first movie, it put me to sleep in the middle of the afternoon, so I had to skip to Wraith of Kahn. But I fnished Nemesis today, VCR was acting really screwy yesterday so I couldn't finish.

Woo Hoo!!! Well....this has been a long time in coming and i'm excited people! There's not much news now from me, the lovely and talented Michael will most likey fill you in on Generican events and such, but I just wanted to make my first post to say hi!

"HI!!" I said as i logged off of my blog and returned to my bed.
Ah yes i got the basics of the new webcam software working well. Also You might be hearing from Cat in this area soon, she has access, and can help me pick up the slack a bit here, whens she's not typing in her own blogs.

1.17.2004

Well yesterday Catherine and I went to see Big Fish, which was a fun movie, and the went to the first part of Genericon, we got back to my house at 4am and went to sleep. She is still asleep right now, and she's very cute. She slept in my bed and I in my recliner, so that we were sure no one would think any shenanagins would be goin on. But yeah she's cute right now :-)

1.16.2004

Yesterday after some troublesome starts I did begin my Star Trek Movie Marathon...I could only watch half of the 1st movie...its brolly the most boring of the movies, because most of the time we just watch the ship go slowly through this place thats supposed to make us oooh and ahhh, but I was falling asleep and this was at 4pm. I skipped to Movie 2 and did well till 4 which I fell asleep during. Which I was kind of annoyed at since I really wanted to talk to Catherine before I went to sleep. Work out some plans for tomorrow, well today now. What with it being our 8 month Anniversary and the start of Genericon, the 3 day Anime/Game convention at RPI(a local college).which I'm preparing for now.

1.15.2004

well the new camera is awesome, I like it a lot, its quite agile. I've been toying with some camera angles but you know I make sure that you know below the waist is never visable, cause you know all of a sudden I forget the cam is on, and BAM I'm an X-Rated site. I figure its time I gave a rundown of the last bunch of weeks. Let's see, I did ok in school I knew I was doing bad in 2 classes and in my two other classes i did well. This might have been the Best Christmas Break ever, one big reason is that of course this is the first Christmas i get to share with my girlfriend Catherine who I love a lot. 8 months tomorrow. Before Christmas on our 7 Month Anniversary we went to see the Midnight showing of Return of the King, one of the first local screenings. And let me just say the movie was amazing and fantastic. Christmas was a lot of fun, I got a lot of great things, Santa Claus treats me good. a new bigger TV, tons of DVDs, all the Music I asked for, some games, I got Mario Kart: Double Dash(which is awesome), Prince of Persia: Sands of Time(even more awesome), and Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance finally, and other little things that are equally cool, like a MiniDisc Player/Burner. Christmas night I slept at Catherine's house since we both had to be somewhere else during the day. We went to her house and exchanged gifts, which was fun. I got her some small but nice diamond earings, the Age of Empires Collection for the PC she wanted, and some stuff from Bath & Body Works. She out did herself on getting stuff for me, she got a new bright red GBA SP which I always have on me now, she got a game for it Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, which is also awesome, and lots of Nintendo related stuff. Her parents wanted to get me something, so Catherine showed them something I would actually want heh, and I got this great "Nintendo Tech Support" Shirt from Hot Topic. So yeah I made out like a Bandit

Next was New Years Eve, it ended up me and Catherine just went to her house, and from like noon to midnight we were just gonna pig out, and watch movies. Which we did, sooo much food. We atched a bunch of Family Guys on DVD and then we watched The Mummy Returns, which was a fun movie. Since then just been spending a lot of time with Catherine and my friends who are in the area. Playing a lot of Pac-Man Vs. and Mario Kart: Double Dash. Catherine started school this week. And its pretty much just me and Ferro out of school. I finally got around to cleaning my room hard core. My room is prolly the cleanest its been in quite a few years.

I've been itching to have a little Star Trek Movie Marathon the past few days I might start watching some later. Also I took some pictures of my room and stuff as soon as my dad gets back and gives me the digital camera cables I'll get those and post them up soon. One of those things I always wanted to do but kept forgetting, just put of some nifty pictures of my room. I'm also thinking about doing a little video tour of my room. Also got some fly new webcam software which if I can figure it out, will be very cool. I might even get some streaming video soon, also I like the idea of like a Desktop cam sort of showing an updated picture of my computers Desktop, its pretty nifty. Again I just have to figure out how it works.

I've watched all the Lord of the Rings Extended Editions, and the amazing amount of Bonus material on them. Its really made me want to start thinking of writing my epic literary masterpiece, heh. Try some Tolkein-esk literary devices. I mean Tolkein created entire languages and histories for all of Middle-Earth during his whole life, then when he wrote them the stories just sort of wrote themkselves and aproched things logically from the perspective of that world. The Hobbit did well, and they asked for a sequel...they got Lord of the Rings, which started small and then just became this amazing huge story, not what he planned from the beginning but thats just where the story went, he didn't really have choice. He didn't know where the story was going till he sat down and wrote it, he didn't have an outline, or synopsis, it just happened.. I don't know just seeing the history and the amazing amount of detail and craftsmenship that went into the books, and the movies. It just really inspired me.

Oh well I think thats enough for now, :-P Off to watch some Star Trek.

Well let me tell you got a new webcam today...and it rocks. much better resolution than the old one still gotta mess with the settings to get everything looking correct. If you click on the webcam picture on the sidebar, you can see the full size picture, which is big now...quite big. Catherine came over tonight for dinner and after watching some of Family Guy, we played with the camera and made some videos of us just...being us. It was funny we thought it was good TV. Maybe I'll start posting little videos and things, no nothing racy you pervs :-P. Just good wholesome fun. I'm also playing with some tools to try and do streaming video from this site. But I doubt that will come to fruition any time soon. Ah yay camera is so nifty. Also I've just decided since the new camera has better resolution, I'm gonna have to shave more so I don't look dirty on cam. :-P
Just thought I'd say "hi" its been a while and as i said before I'm trying to update more...oh well more later on. And oooooh I'm updating from my Aunt's house.

Let me just say I'm sorry for being absent for so long its not my style, but I have good news and technical jargon. Well you see I used to do a little online radio show from time to time, but as of last year I couldn't, at home we switched to a "Switch"- a device which handles all the comings and goings of information from the internet to me and my dad's computers, and a switch is so good it protects by only letting in information that was asked for. Also the switch prevented me from doing my beloved Radio show. Now we are back to using a "HUB", which is less secure and efficiant but its not noticeable to us, and that means my radio station/program The DragonFist Network has returned, and this time its personal. I've got 10gigs of music with your name on it, prizes up to my armpits, and the best DJs that work for free. Thats right I'm talking DJ Yanni and "Funky Fresh" Jimothy. One can only hope we forgo the music and just go crazy. Maybe DragonFist will become Talk Radio...who knows? You'll have to listen to find out, January 6 we strike in the evening, and the internet will never be the same! Stay tuned for more specific updates, and keep watch for me on AIM 'mjyanni' knows whats going down. There will be trivia, games, prizes, excitement, talking, and possibly music even.
Tuesday Tuesday Tuesday!
